Ice Harbor & Hillside Farms

Ice Harbor Farm Irrigation System Rehabilitation Project. This project consisted of a 4,100-horsepower vertical turbine pump station, capable of pumping 43,000 gallons per minute, placed in the Snake River, with an air burst tee screening system extended out into deep water, and a 940-horsepower horizontal shaft, centrifugal booster pump station. The main line consisted of 10,340’ of 48” fiberglass reinforced polymer pipe, and 45,639’ of PVC pipe ranging from 36” to 12”.  

Hillside Farm Irrigation System Rehabilitation Project. This project consisted of a 4,700-horsepower vertical turbine pump station, capable of pumping 35,100 gallons per minute, placed in the Snake River, with an air burst tee screening system extended out into deep water, and a 4,000-horsepower vertical turbine booster pump station. The main line consisted of 18,665’ of 48” fiberglass reinforced polymer pipe, and 38,582’ of PVC pipe ranging from 36” to 12”.  There was 61,354’ of PVC lateral line, ranging from 10” to 6”, connecting 39 pivots to 10 clusters. This project involved replacing a system that was originally built in the early 1970s and was accomplished in two phases due to the limited time between growing seasons.
